Zildjian ZXT-10, Trashformer
"No One's Going to Buy a Bent Cymbal!"
That's what Zildjian AR told Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini when he first proposed the 14" ZXT Trashformer, which was based on a student's cymbal. That is, of course, until Armand Zildjian got his hands on the prototype and loved it. The Zildjian ZXT Trashformer is specially bred for special effects. Its warped radius and patina'd surface are every bit as trashy as its voice. But when it's performance time, this cymbal has endless applications: play it in place of a splash to give your accents a china-like bite, or stack it on a crash for an outrageous burst of metallic energy.
